Unit 1: Here Comes Jesus!
4 sessions. Introduces the main characters of the Christmas story in the context of Advent themes of love, joy, hope, and peace. Each session features costumed visitors from the time of Jesus’ birth, each with part of the story to tell. Sessions:

  1. Here Come Mary and Joseph! (Luke 2:1-7)
  2. Here Come the Shepherds! (Luke 2:9-20)
  3. Here Come Anna and Simeon! (Luke 2:22-38)
  4. Here Come the Magi! (Matthew 2:1-12)
    Unit 2: God and God's People
    4 sessions. Explores the opening stories of Genesis, two creation accounts and a consequential decision made by the first human beings. Together, these stories tell us about who God is, God’s relationship with the creation, especially human beings, and the responsibilities humans have for the care of the earth. Sessions:
    1. God Was Pleased (Genesis 1:1-2:4a)
    2. In the Image of God (Genesis 1:26-31)
    3. God Was Involved (Genesis 2:4b-25)
    4. Grace Abounding (Genesis 3:1-21)
        Unit 3: God's People Lost and Found
        4 sessions. Explores Jesus and his encounters with his disciples, the religious leaders, and a military leader. In response to his audience’s queries, Jesus offers words and deeds to characterize God’s grace, a love beyond anything we can imagine, a love that seeks all who are lost, sad, lonely, or sick. Participants will be drawn into these personal encounters and be encouraged to lay claim to the love and mercy of God. Sessions:
        1. A Lost Sheep and a Lost Coin (Luke 15:1-10)
        2. A Lost Son Is Found (Luke 15:11-24)
        3. The Centurion's Servant (Luke 7:1-10)
        4. The Gift of Forgiveness (Matthew 18:21-35)
