Virtual LIFT in Community Responding to the Word

Virtual LIFT (Living in Faith Together) Year 3 Fall and Winter sets are written for churches gathering virtually. Virtual LIFT in Community is designed to be used in a home setting using a video conferencing platform to connect LIFT Homes with each other and the LIFT leader.

(Sunday LIFT is designed to be held in a church with participants sitting around tables. Find Sunday LIFT here.)

Responding to the Word is unit 3 of the winter set.

In this unit, participants reflect on responding to God’s Word through prayer and gifts. Participants explore The Lord’s Prayer and discuss its meaning for their lives and the lives of others. The sessions on gifts study those gifts that God gives the world, the generosity of God’s people, and the significance of sharing talents with others.

  • Session 1: Asking for What We Need – Matthew 6:9-13, Luke 11:1-4
  • Session 2: Seeking Help for Others – Matthew 6:9-13, Luke 11:1-4
  • Session 3: Dedicating Gifts to God – 2 Corinthians 8:1-7

Session 4: Giving Ourselves to God – Romans 12:1-8
