Virtual LIFT in Community Joseph and His Brothers

Virtual LIFT (Living in Faith Together) Year 3 Fall and Winter sets are written for churches gathering virtually. Virtual LIFT in Community is designed to be used in a home setting using a video conferencing platform to connect LIFT Homes with each other and the LIFT leader.

(Sunday LIFT is designed to be held in a church with participants sitting around tables. Find Sunday LIFT here.)

Joseph and His Brothers is unit 2 of the fall set. The story of Joseph and his brothers, the sons of Jacob, is long and complex. The four sessions in this unit move from Joseph’s brothers’ jealousy of him to his gift of interpreting dreams, through the famine, and end in celebration as Joseph and his family are reunited in Egypt. Each session can stand on its own, and together, the sessions tell the full story.

Sessions in this unit:

  • Session 1: Jealousy, Genesis 37:3-4
  • Session 2: Dreams, Genesis 41:16, 41:25
  • Session 3: Famine, Genesis 42:1-2, 43:1-2
  • Session 4: Celebration!, Genesis 45:7-8

Introduction includes all the details for making Virtual LIFT in Community a success. Resource is fully downloadable.
