$27,000 End-of-Year Giving Match!

Posted by Liz Perraud at

A congregation in Hedgesville, West Virginia launched Youth Club (what we now call LOGOS) in the mid-80s. It thrived for 20 years. Now, about 15 years later, those young people who grew up attending the ministry wanted to revive it for their own children and for the new neighborhoods around the church. They called GenOn to help them restart. And we gladly did with training, resources, and encouragement.

Nikki, one of the co-directors, shared recently, “Youth Club is going so well! We have so much support and help from the church and the parents. I always ask if anyone wants to pray us out from worship at the end of the night. A second grader stood up in front of everyone and prayed over us. My heart about exploded. After she prayed, two other kids decided they wanted to as well! This is going to be the best thing for our church. Thank you so much for all your support!”

Will you continue to strengthen GenOn’s mission as we partner with churches to nurture, grow, and deepen intergenerational Christ-centered community in a world that desperately needs this kind of community? If you donated early, thank you. If you can donate now, thank you.

We have a large matching challenge for the first $33,475 donated by the end of the year, thanks to the generosity of GenOn’s former board members. Wow! Will you give today to help us realize that match? There is about $27,000 left to match. Your donation to GenOn Ministries impacts our reach to support congregations offering an abundant life in Christ for current generations and many generations to come.
