Space to Have a “Good Think”

From battling the whirlwind of ministry, to spinning plates, church leaders either figure this out or burn out. We all need space to have a “good think.”

Read "5 Simple Ways to Break Free from the Ministry Vortex" posted by The Church Renewal Lab (of the Christian Reformed Church), for suggestions to help Christian leaders break free from the ministry vortex.

According to the article, “Innovative congregations are led by leaders constantly immersing themselves in fresh thinking through leadership books, conferences, visiting cutting edge ministries and conversing with people far from faith and faith family.”

GenOn training events offer a response to this basic, but often neglected, need of every church. We are so busy with maintenance, there is no time left for visioning the future, for being innovative. Consider taking a break from the vortex.

Pull together a team of leaders who have a heart to disciple young people; schedule a GenOn training event; and invite other churches to join you in a “good think.”
