Lots of emails are coming in seeking help in staffing for LOGOS this fall. Are you having trouble getting people to “step up to the plate” to serve in any ministry of the church? Let’s get something really clear, they rarely do just “step up”! So we need to find another way to engage people in ministry. Lots of adults--representing many generations. Our goal is not just to staff programs, but to build lots of healthy Christ-centered relationships in our faith community. The Year without VBS

There was a small construction project at the church scheduled for the summer months and our long-time Vacation Bible School Director was stepping down more than a little burned out. I was serving on the Christian Education Committee and we wrestled with what to do about VBS for children’s ministry. I think it was less about the construction project (we could have worked around it) and more about the burned-out director and a little late in the year to find a new one.
