We are delighted to announce that the Rev. Dr. Brian Watson has joined the GenOn Ministries Board of Directors. 

Ordained in the Baptist Church and now non-denominational, Brian brings nearly 30 years of experience empowering individuals to make a difference. He holds an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling and an M.R.E. from Liberty University. Recently, he earned his DMin. from Kairos University with a specialty in intergenerational leadership. 

For 23 years, Brian served as senior pastor at Gateway Community Church in Houston, Texas. His background also includes nearly 15 years as an educator and social worker, and he currently teaches middle school special education at a charter school in east Houston. 

Brian's commitment to service began long ago. Prior to his call to ministry, he served as a musician and music director for his college Gospel choir and participated in the children's ministry of the Baptist Student Ministries. He has served as a GenOn Volunteer Training Leader for several years.

He resides in Houston with his wife, Rolanda, their teenage son, Sean, and their two dogs.
