Supporting GenOn Volunteers

Are you interested in volunteering with us?

GenOn Ministries is able to continue our long history of serving churches because of the dedication of over 50 volunteers, who have been called by God and in community to share their gifts. All our volunteers strive to

    • love God, love children and youth, and share their gifts
    • exhibit a mature Christian faith
    • demonstrate good relational skills with adults, with an ability to lead and inspire others
    • be reliable and responsible
    • be passionate about GenOn Ministries' vision and mission

Volunteer roles for GenOn Ministries include, but are not limited to

REGIONAL SUPPORTERS provide ministry support, advice and consultation for local LOGOS churches. They enjoy and are proficient at public speaking, are able to lead and inspire others and are willing to seek out opportunities to share about LOGOS ministry.
TRAINING LEADERS provide leadership at LOGOS Encounters. They are proficient at public speaking and leading and inspiring others. Training leaders are resourceful, flexible and have a positive influence on LOGOS leaders in their church. They have at least 2 years of experience in LOGOS, are currently involved in LOGOS, and feel called to ministry beyond their local congregation. They understand LOGOS Key Practices, the definition of LOGOS, and the significance of LOGOS training. They have basic computer skills and a willingness to acquire new skills as necessary. Training leaders are able to commit to 1-3 Encounters (Friday-Saturday, sometimes Sunday) in a calendar year.
BOARD MEMBERS serve multi-year terms on the GenOn Ministries Board of Directors. They are able to lead and inspire others, have experience with or are interested in learning about non-profit boards, are good team players, and possess administration/organization, business, finance, strategic planning, fund or friend-raising and/or legal skills. They feel called to serve in board positions, are able to contribute financially to GenOn Ministries, and are comfortable encouraging others to do so.
