All God's Children: The Church Family Gathers for Lent (Psalms for Lent)
5 sessions. Focus is on Psalms appropriate for Lent. Each session includes one psalm that would have been accompanied by some type of instruments. Sessions can be used during the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth weeks of Lent, or selected sessions can be used at other times during Lent. Gatherings includes four activities: Eating Together (with menu, table decorations and prayer), Playing Together (with crafts, games, and other fun activities), Studying God's Word Together (with Scripture, wondering questions, and a reflective art activity) and Praying Together (with litany, music, sharing, and prayer). Sessions:
- You are my refuge (Psalm 91:1-2, 9-16)
- You are my fortress (Psalm 27)
- My satisfaction is in God (Psalm 63:1-8)
- You surround me with songs of rescue (Psalm 32)
- The Lord has done great things for us (Psalm 126)
