All God's Children: The Church Family Gathers for Living Water

All God's Children: The Church Family Gathers is designed to gather generations to learn and grow together, bridging the gaps in our church experience. Events are planned for 1.5 to 2 hours, and move in a relaxed and unhurried pace, where the emphasis is on being together in community. Gatherings includes four activities: Eating Together (with menu, table decorations and prayer), Playing Together (with crafts, games, and other fun activities), Studying God's Word Together (with Scripture, wondering questions, and a reflective art activity) and Praying Together (with litany, music, sharing, and prayer).

All God’s Children: The Church Family Gathers for Living Water focuses on Bible passages about water. Jesus refers to “Living Water” saying we will never be thirsty again. Participants learn the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman, explore the significance of the well, paint watercolor pictures, sing and dance to “I’ve Got Peace Like a River,” take a nature walk, play water games, make baptism remembrance sand casts, and sing praise songs about water. Sessions:

  1. Jesus and the Samaritan Woman (John 4:1-30, 39-42)
  2. Well of Living Water (John 4:1-30, 39-42)
  3. God’s Comfort from the Living Water (Psalm 65)
  4. Remembering God’s Promises (Genesis 22:17; Joshua 4:6-7)
  5. Gathering at the River of Life (Revelation 22:1-6, 16-17)
