Relationships and community require care and feeding. Congregations all over the world are facing this same challenge—of starting to gather again in person (or soon!). And we are out of practice. We’ve been Zooming, doing the masked-and-distanced thing, and lots of other creative solutions, but we must admit, it’s been a strange and awkward yearand it’s time to rekindle relationships.

The star is a reminder of what guided the Magi to Jesus (hence the Epiphany timing). And it is a reminder that we are also seeking Jesus, trusting that God uses many signs (or stars) to draw us closer. Words on stars are handed out in worship. Liz PerraudExecutive DirectorGenOn Ministries       Most days when I talk with my mom, she wraps up the call with, “Well, we’re coming along.” Even if she’s just shared something not-so-great about how she or my dad are feeling or how one is recovering from a fall, it’s still an encouraging tone and “we’re coming along” as she signs off. “Coming along” is an informal way of saying making progress and moving forward, which is exactly what she means. Keeping LOGOS Intergenerational Ministry Going in the Pandemic

How is your church doing LOGOS or other intergenerational ministry in a pandemic? Here are brief descriptions from three churches, all illustrating how much the staff and volunteers love LOGOS and each other. State College Presbyterian Church State College, Pennsylvania Two Tuesdays a month, on an RSVP basis, dinners are available for curbside pick-up at the church and come with a packet of games, surprises, and conversation starters. These meals are then shared virtually with household groups to eat together, play games, discuss Bible stories, and connect with one another.
