Posted by Liz Perraud at
Dave CsinosAssociate Professor, Atlantic School of Theology, Halifax, Nova Scotia Founder, Faith Forward In each edition of IG Mix, we ask a guest writer two questions about serving in ministry. What keeps you up at night? It’s been a rough few years. With the the pandemic continuing to rear its head and political turmoil on every channel, there’s a lot to be worried about. And yet there is one issue that keeps me tossing and turning: climate change. My family just celebrated my daughter’s first birthday. Amidst our joy and laughter, I felt an ongoing uneasiness deep...

Since about 2012, the month of...

One Great Idea: Cookie Night

Christina LandenbergerDirector of Faith Formation & Youth MinistryFirst Presbyterian Church of Grand Island, Nebraska The Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity holds an annual fundraiser, the Christmas Cookie Walk, the first week of December. Donated cookies are sold by the pound to raise funds for the organization, which has built 96 homes in our community. This year they had more than 14,000 cookies and sold out in less than two hours! On the Wednesday before the Cookie Walk, church members and LOGOS families are asked to bring homemade sugar cookies ready for decorating. Our LOGOS Recreation and Worship Arts times...
