Relationships within a church setting prove to be one of the most rewarding investments you can make to facilitate faith growth in your child’s life. Helping your children to engage with others in your church is easier in small to medium-sized churches. Parents need to be proactive in making sure this happens in your church. Be involved, take a leadership role, go with your child to church, encourage your child to make close friends within your church family.

In today’s busy world, family time often takes a back seat to all the other activities and work items we think are so important. By Shirley Carlson What does it mean to "partner" with children and youth?  Do we treat them as equal partners in our churches and at home?  Do we want to?  How does God answer that question?  Jesus said, "Let the children come unto me."  There are other references to partnering with youth in the Bible as well. "Truly I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 18:3-4).  God intends for us to learn from each other....

One of my favorite rooms on a LOGOS evening is the kitchen. There's a buzz about that place-I've seen it in churches all over no matter the size of the program or the sophistication of the meals. In my church we've had a year of a busted dishwasher, a broken hot water heater, hurt (and healed!) feelings, deeply personal stories, and rounds of the flu. Too many people some nights and not enough people other nights. And yet there's a common purpose (to deliver dinner on time!) and always a welcoming atmosphere for those seeking a place to serve at...
