Two years ago, we gathered in Colorado and West Virginia for GenOn Summit 2019.  It was, as usual, a wonderful experience of living together in Christian Community.  With a pandemic sweeping the globe, the leadership was forced to make the difficult decision to postpone the Summit until the summer of 2022.  This forced hiatus has given rise to the creation of one unified Summit. Leaders from both Summit East and Summit West have worked throughout this time, planning, and brainstorming and the one question that we all were asking was a simple one…What’s New?  This seemed to be the perfect theme for our 2022 GenOn Summit.

So, What’s New? We landed on a foundational text for our week together that seemed to be the perfect answer to this seemingly simple question:

“Because of this decision we don’t evaluate people by what they have or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it all wrong, as you know. We certainly don’t look at him that way anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life emerges! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other.”  (II Corinthians 5:16-18, The Message)

In Christ we are a new Creation. How fitting for our own rebirth at GenOn

Summit 2022!  We hope this Summit will provide a foundation for renewal of our relationship with Jesus and in turn, our relationships with one another.

We hope that you will plan to gather with Summit friends ... old and new ... this coming July 10-16 at Johnson University in Knoxville, TN!

More information will be coming soon; but if you have any questions, please contact Kelly Burnett, GenOn Summit Coordinator, KellyBurnett@GenOnMinistries.org.
