Passing Up the Faith

Posted by Liz Perraud at

Intergenerational faith formation isn’t just about the kids. Passing on the faith is not always about passing DOWN the faith, sometimes it’s about passing it up. Don’t believe me? Read what my 81 year old friend Bill Gretsch says about his experience with intergenerational faith formation. “I take pictures at LOGOS.  I always look in at the preschool and see the kids playing, sleeping or being comforted.  The love given by the leaders is unconditional and a model for living.  Glorious! I eat dinner with the youngest children, and it brings back to me when I helped raise my own family. ...

Perhaps something to file away to do next year? Need other Worship Skills ideas for LOGOS? Check out our Pinterest board or resources that are full of possibilities!

Posted by Liz Perraud at

The following was written by Caroline Doughty, high school senior from Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church in Odenton, Maryland. Caroline wrote this for her college applications and then shared it with us.   "The place I feel perfectly content is GenOn Youth Summit, a week-long religious conference I attend every summer with young adults who want to retreat from their normal lives to enrich their relationship with God and with others. Outside of GenOn, teenagers are surrounded by harsh language and peer pressure, and they feel as though they must conform to society's expectations. At GenOn, the environment is very...
