 Winter units for intergenerational Sunday faith formation: Advent - A four-week journey through the scriptures of Matthew, helping participants prepare for the arrival of Christ. (4 sessions) Adventure Awaits - Take off on an adventure as you travel through scripture, hearing stories from Egypt and Asia and learning the reasons why people were traveling in the New Testament. (4 sessions) Snuggle Up with God - Pushes participants to spend time in relationship as we grow our faith and enjoy the end of the winter season. What keeps you up at night?

I wear a number of hats. Each gives me lots to think about. As a pastor, I am devoted to fostering connections between the generations within my church and to helping people of all ages grow in faith. This work gives me lots to celebrate. But it isn’t without its challenges. While these challenges sometimes occupy my thoughts at night, this provides opportunities to reflect on what I’m experiencing, to pray, and to imagine creative possibilities for nurturing intergenerational community.

Relationships within a church setting prove to be one of the most rewarding investments you can make to facilitate faith growth in your child’s life. Helping your children to engage with others in your church is easier in small to medium-sized churches. Parents need to be proactive in making sure this happens in your church. Be involved, take a leadership role, go with your child to church, encourage your child to make close friends within your church family.

DeHaven LOGOS Fund Exceeds Fundraising Goal!

Thank you! We did it! In 2016 the GenOn Board of Directors approved the creation of the DeHaven LOGOS Fund to support Christian churches who have established or wish to start a LOGOS weekly ministry as a means of being an intergenerational church, yet have limited funds to do so.  Thomas Kanavy, member of the GenOn Board of Directors says this of the importance of the DeHaven fund, “LOGOS builds thriving churches and we have 50 years of evidence to support this claim.  The DeHaven Grant was introduced as a way to bring LOGOS into financially distressed communities and to...
