GenOn Ministries has identified and defined 19 factors to represent the tangible characteristics that underlie a church’s ability to consistently build disciples through intergenerational ministry. The Visioning Tool uses these factors to 1) take a picture of a church’s current setting for intergenerational ministry and 2) create a plan for becoming an intergenerational church.

I am a LOGOS pastor. These are words that I say with great ease. We have been doing LOGOS for the last several years. Through a series of staff and volunteer changes, we took a short breather to redo training and get new people on board. LOGOS started anew with fresh ideas and a new structure. It was awesome. But LOGOS is always awesome.

Not only is it important for churches to have many opportunities to gather the generations together, it also is so important that families do things together. In today’s busy world, family time often takes a back seat to all the other activities and work items we think are so important. It is vital to your children to have planned activities with both parents and grandparents or extended family.
